Western Emergency Services

March 29-April 4

Firefighters and emergency medical technicians went to 14 medical calls and four fire calls.

Western Emergency Services responded to 14 medical calls and 4 fire call the week of March 29th through April 4th , 2021.

Homer Volunteer Fire Department

March 29-April 4

Firefighters and emergency medical technicians went to 10 medical calls and four fire calls.

Kachemak Emergency Services

March 29-April 4

Firefighters and emergency medical technicians went to two medical calls and two fire calls.

Homer Police

April 1

Homer Police at 9:27 p.m. went to a report of a violation of a domestic violence restraining order. Following an investigation, police arrested a 37-year-old Homer woman for violating a domestic violence protective order and took her to the Homer Jail.

April 2

Police at 8:40 p.m. went to a residence for a report of a domestic disturbance. Police arrested a 50-year-old Homer man on two counts of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, and took him to the Homer Jail.

April 3

Police at 10:48 p.m. went to a report of a man with a gun on the caller’s porch. Police responded and arrested a 26-year-old Nikiski man for attempted burglary, criminal trespassing, weapons misconduct, misconduct involving a controlled substance, promoting contraband and resisting arrest. He was taken to the Homer Jail.

Troopers

March 8

Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited a 46-year-old Homer man in Seward for the retention of undersized Tanner crab.

March 20

Wildlife Troopers cited a 44-year-old Homer man for the retention of undersized Tanner crab.

Courts

Court records show the following actions taken in Homer Court through April 5:

Criminal Court

Shane D. Corbell, 27, fourth-degree assault; third-degree theft; driving while license canceled, revoked, suspended or limited; violating conditions of release; all domestic violence related, Ninilchik case.

Sira A. Fefelov, 30, driving under the influence, fifth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, Anchor Point case.

Rosemarie E. Buchman, 37, violating a domestic violence protective order, two separate Homer cases.

Ty L. Hufford, 50, fourth-degree assault, domestic violence related, Homer cases.

Joseph Newton, 34, first-degree burglary, armed with a firearm; third-degree weapons misconduct, intoxication and trespassing; first-degree promoting contraband, deadly weapon, all felonies; first- and second-degree criminal trespass; fourth-degree weapons misconduct, possession while intoxicated; resisting or interfering with arrest; fifth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance; all Homer cases.
