June 12
A caller at 3:50 p.m. came to the police station and reported vandalism at an El Sarino Court address.
A caller at 6:16 p.m. reported a vehicle crash at the intersection of Pioneer Avenue and the Sterling Highway.
A person at 11:09 p.m. made a 911 call that two vehicles were racing and speeding on Kachemak Drive. Police responded.
Police at 11:21 p.m. attempted to serve a warrant on a person at a Kachemak Drive address. A person at the residence also reported a criminal incident to police.
June 13
A caller at 12:22 a.m. reported a suspicious vehicle on West Fairview Avenue near the Reber Trail. Police responded and contacted the people in the vehicle.
An officer at 9:30 a.m. received a report of a sexual assault that might have happened in the Homer area.
A person at 12:40 p.m. came to the station to report two men in a vehicle driving on No View Avenue and asking questions of residents. Police did extra patrols.
A woman at 1:21 p.m. made a 911 call reporting a hit-and-run crash on Greatland Street. The woman stated she also had other witnesses.
A person at 1 p.m. made a 911 call reporting an unattended death of a woman at a Pineview Road home. Police and medics responded. Police determined the woman died of natural causes.
Several callers at 8:57 p.m. reported an injured moose on East End Road near Mariner Drive. Police notified the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.
June 14
Police at 12:12 a.m. contacted a 44-year-old man on the Sterling Highway for violating conditions of release and arrested him for resisting arrest and fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance.
A caller at 6:36 a.m. reported a suspicious odor that could be a gas leak in the Main Street and Sterling Highway area. Police responded but could not find the leak.
A caller at 11:01 a.m. reported theft of gas from a vehicle parked on Kachemak Drive.
A caller at 7:40 p.m. reported a burglary at a Forest Glen Drive address.
A caller at 7:55 p.m. reported finding a lost dog on the Spit.
June 15
A caller at 1:59 a.m. reported a possibly drunk driver.
A person at 7:19 a.m. made a 911 call of a burglary at a Freight Dock Road business. Police responded.
A person at 3:07 p.m. made a 911 call of the back of a motorhome hanging over the edge of the road on Skyline Drive near Paintbrush Street after the driver tried to turn around. One wheel of the motorhome also was in the air. All occupants got out safely. Police and a tow truck responded.
A caller at 3:51 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a distraught woman on foot on Mattox Road. Police contacted the woman and found she was OK.
A caller at 7:51 p.m. reported possible drug activity among people parked in a vehicle at a Sterling Highway lot.
A young person at 8:56 p.m. came to the station to report an ongoing issue.

A person at 3:11 a.m. came to the station with drug paraphernalia.
A caller at 2:28 p.m. reported a shoplifter left a Lake Street business on foot. Police responded but could not find the suspect.
A caller at 3:01 p.m. reported being harassed.
A person at 10:06 p.m. made a 911 call saying he was being held against his will at a facility. Police responded.
June 17
A caller at 9:17 a.m. reported the theft of an animal.
Police at 12:46 p.m. warned a driver for “rolling coal” while driving on Ocean Drive.
A caller at 2:10 p.m. reported a man caused a disturbance at an Ocean Drive address and refused to leave. Police responded and issued the man a two-week trespass notice.
A caller at 11:19 p.m. reported a loud party on Bishop’s Beach. Police responded but did not notice any excessive noise.
A caller at 11:37 p.m. reported seeing a person climb into a donation box on Jenny Way.
June 18
A caller at 3:54 a.m. reported an expected death at home of a person at a Jennifer Place address.
A person at 5:21 a.m. made a 911 call of a woman who seemed confused on the Spit. Police responded and reunited the woman with her family.
A person at 7:56 a.m. turned in a found iPad at the station.
A person at 9:35 a.m. came to the station to report a vehicle parked on the side of Ocean Drive selling merchandise.
Police at 10:26 a.m. received numerous 911 calls from a child playing with the phone at a Fairview Avenue address. Police responded.
A caller at 2:17 p.m. reported suspicious circumstances regarding a Dumpster fire on Pioneer Avenue.
June 19
Police at 8:56 a.m. attempted to stop of 56-year-old woman on Pioneer Avenue and issued her a summons for eluding when she fail to stop.
Troopers
June 6
Alaska State Troopers at 9:54 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 23-year-old Anchor Point man driving near Black Water Bend on the Sterling Highway south of Anchor Point. Troopers arrested him for driving under the influence, drugs. The man also had an arrest warrant. Troopers said they found drugs in his vehicle.
June 10
Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited three Anchorage residents for failing to immediately log a king salmon more than 20 inches long while fishing in Deep Creek.
June 12
Troopers at 7:59 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 58-year-old man driving an ATV on East End Road near Kent Street. Troopers arrested the man for DUI.
Troopers at 11:56 p.m. went to a vehicle crash at a motorhome park near Ninilchik. Medics transported the driver and passenger to the hospital with injuries.

Robert L. Ottaway Jr., 52, charge dismissed, driving without an operator’s license.
Charles W. Tangman, 32, charges dismissed, first-degree vehicle theft, tampering with evidence, second-degree forgery, second-degree criminal impersonation.
Joshua A. Meyer, 41, Anchor Point, charge dismissed, fourth-degree assault. He pleaded guilty to fourth-degree assault, domestic violence. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail with 60 days suspended; ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund and a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended; ordered to provide a DNA sample on request; and was placed on probation for two years.
Daryn K. Holmes, 39, Anchor Point, charges dismissed, first-degree burglary and fifth-degree criminal mischief. He pleaded guilty to an amended charge of attempted second-degree theft. He was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 180 days suspended; ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund and a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended; ordered to apply for an Alaska Permanent Fund Divided and pay restitution; ordered not to have contact with his victim’s business; and was placed on probation for one year.
