April 14

An officer at 10:30 p.m. warned a driver for improper trailer registration at Mile 169 Sterling Highway.

April 15

A caller at 2:52 a.m. reported hearing someone outside their home on Ben Walters Lane. Officers went to the scene.

South Peninsula Hospital at 3:59 p.m. requested a welfare check on a woman who had left the area. An officer was unable to locate the woman.

A caller at 9:24 p.m. reported suspicious circumstances at the home behind theirs on Cityview Avenue. Officers responded to the location.

A caller at 10:26 p.m. reported an unattended death on West Pioneer Avenue. An officer went to the scene.

April 16

An employee at 12:17 a.m. reported a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of a business on East Pioneer Avenue that had been running for 20 minutes. An officer went to the scene and arrested a man for driving under the influence and misconduct involving a controlled substance. They officer issued the man a violation for driving with his license revoked.

A caller at 10:42 reported her adult nephew missing in the Homer Area. An officer contacted the man and gave him a ride to a medical facility.

A caller at 2:15 p.m. reported a suspicious man taking items out of mail boxes on Glenview Street. An officer was unable to locate the man.

A caller at 3:15 p.m. reported concern for a minor laying on the ground at Main Street and the Sterling Highway. An officer made contact with the minor and found all was OK.

A caller at 5:10 p.m. reported a young child walking on the side of the road at Adams Drive and East End Road. An officer went to the area but was unable to locate the child.

A caller at 11:44 p.m. reported a disturbance at a neighboring home on Bay Vista Place. Officers responded to the location.

April 17

A caller at 11:34 a.m. reported a disturbance involving a neighbor on South Slope. An officer went to the scene.

A caller at 1:54 p.m. made a Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately (REDDI) report on a vehicle on Ocean Drive. An officer contacted the driver and noted no impairment.

An officer at 4:31 p.m. cited a driver for driving with their license suspended at Rogers Loop and the Sterling Highway.

A caller at 4:50 p.m. reported a child left unattended in a vehicle on Hazel Avenue. While the caller was still on the phone, the child’s father arrived at the car.

A caller at 5 p.m. reported a disturbance on Ben Walters Lane. An officer responded to the area.

A caller at 6:04 p.m. reported an intoxicated pedestrian at Main Street and Pioneer Avenue. An officer went to the area but was unable to locate the person.

An officer at 6:15 p.m. contacted a vehicle in reference to a parking violation on Main Street. The driver agreed to move the vehicle.

A woman at 6:49 p.m. went to the police station with a “confidential envelope.”

A caller at 7:52 p.m. reported an intoxicated man on FAA road. Officers contacted the man and placed him in protective custody.

A caller at 8:34 p.m. reported a domestic dispute on West Pioneer Avenue. Officers responded to the scene and found not crime had been committed. The officer separated the people involved.

An officer at 10:37 p.m. contacted a woman in a bar parking lot on East Pioneer Avenue and gave her a DUI warning.

An officer at 10:55 p.m. warned a driver for having an expired operator’s license at Thompson Avenue and East End Road.

A caller at 11:58 p.m. requested a welfare check on a possibly suicidal person on Blue Sky Avenue. Officers went to the location and found all was OK.

April 18

A caller at 9:28 a.m. reported a suspicious man on Hidden Way. An officer contacted the man and issued him a trespass notice.

An officer at 5:24 p.m. made contact with a 22-year-old woman on East Pioneer Avenue and arrested her on an outstanding warrant. The woman was taken to the Homer Jail.

An officer at 6:42 p.m. contacted a 32-year-old man, who was arrested on an outstanding warrant and taken to the Homer Jail.

A caller at 9:10 p.m. reported a vehicle crash at Ben Walters Lane and East End Road with unknown injuries. Officers and medics went to the scene and took one woman to South Peninsula Hospital for evaluation.

April 19

A caller at 2:26 a.m. reported suspicious circumstances on West Bay Avenue. Officers responded to the location and were unable to find anything suspicious.

Officers at 1:20 p.m. assisted medics on Ben Walters Lane.

Officers at 1:29 p.m. assisted medics on Hazel Avenue.

An officer at 7:18 p.m. was told by a concerned citizen of an unattended fire on Bishop’s Beach near Ohlson Lane. An officer went to the scene.

A caller at 5:06 p.m. reported a theft from a business on the Homer Bypass. An officer went to the building to investigate.

An agency at 7:42 p.m. notified police of a REDDI report on a vehicle at Mile 170 Sterling Highway. An officer contacted the vehicle and found the driver was not impaired.

Officers at 9:52 p.m. went to the scene of an unattended death on East End Road.

April 20

A caller at 4:55 p.m. requested a welfare check on a family member on East End Road. An officer responded to the location.

April 21

An officer at 7:25 a.m. checked on a person in a business parking lot on the Sterling Highway. The officer found all was OK and that the man was sleeping in the parking lot.

A caller at 1:06 p.m. requested a welfare check on a senior housing resident on Herndon Drive. An officer went to the scene and found all was OK.

A caller at 4:49 p.m. reported a domestic disturbance on Lake Street. An officer went to the scene and arrested a 24-year-old man for fourth-degree assault and fifth-degree criminal mischief.

A caller at 6:29 p.m. reported vehicles speeding and driving erratically on Freight Dock Road. An officer went to the location and contacted the drivers. The officer noted no impairment and warned the drivers for reckless driving.

An officer at 7:01 p.m. assisted a driver in removing their vehicle from the roadway at Pioneer Avenue and the Homer Bypass.

Officers at 7:59 p.m. got a report of a temporary restraining order violation on Ben Walters Lane. An officer was notified and it’s under investigation.
