A caller at 9:08 a.m. reported an unattended death of a 92-year-old man at a Herndon Street home.
A woman at 2:05 p.m. reported a man tried to enter a car parked on the Sterling Highway that did not belong to him.
Dec. 23
A caller at 8 p.m. reported a fight between two men at a Pioneer Avenue parking lot. Police responded and separated the men. Police arrested a 35-year-old man for violating a restraining order, domestic violence assault, criminal mischief and sixth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, marijuana. Police also arrested a 56-year-old man for driving under the influence.
A caller at 11 p.m. reported a loud explosion near Mile 1.5 East End Road. Police couldn’t find the source of the explosion.
Dec. 24
A caller at 9:45 p.m. reported a domestic dispute at a Fairview Avenue home. Police responded and issued disorderly conduct warnings to the people involved.
Dec. 25
A caller at 4:03 a.m. reported a domestic dispute at an Ocean Drive Loop home. Police responded and arrested a 37-year-old woman for assault.
Police at 4:30 a.m. contacted a driver with a stuck vehicle on the Sterling Highway. The man said all was OK and help was on the way.

A man at 1 p.m. reported a snowplow operator pushing snow onto his Ben Walters Lane property.
Dec. 27
A man at 10:15 a.m. reported a stolen boat.
A caller at 1:25 p.m. reported an unstable patient leaving a medical facility. Police found the patient at home and safe.
A caller at 4:36 p.m. reported an expected death at home of a 91-year-old woman.
Police at 9:56 p.m. contacted a 37-year-old woman and arrested her on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court.
A caller at 10 p.m. reported two cars blocking the road on Kachemak Drive and a man on foot and acting oddly. Police responded and arrested a 44-year-old man for driving under the influence.
A woman at 11:05 p.m. reported her iPhone had been stolen. She said she was tracking the iPhone.
A man at 11:09 p.m. reported the theft of a bag left outside an Ocean Drive Loop business.
Dec. 29
A woman at 10:22 a.m. reported hazardous road conditions on Jade Drive.
A woman at 10:34 a.m. reported water flowing on Kachemak Way. Police notified Public Works.
A woman at 11:42 a.m. reported water flowing on Mountainview Drive.
A man at 12:10 p.m. reported water running over the road on Rangeview Avenue.
A man at 12:20 p.m. reported water running over the road on Mattox Road.
A woman at 3:39 p.m. made a 911 call of a possible suicidal subject. Police responded and took the person to South Peninsula Hospital.
A man at 6:29 p.m. reported being concerned for his adult son. Police responded and arrested a 53-year-old woman on an outstanding warrant. The man was OK.
Several people at 9 p.m. made 911 calls of glowing orange hovering lights floating over downtown Homer. Police responded to a Bartlett Street address and determined people had released sky lanterns.
Dec. 30
A man at 10:15 a.m. reported water overflowing a culvert on Spruceview Avenue.
A man at 11:26 a.m. reported water overflowing onto a Grubstake Avenue lot.
A woman at 12:19 p.m. reported water overflowing on Jade Drive.
A man at 1:55 p.m. reported a theft from a Bayview Avenue building.
A woman at 2:02 p.m. reported water overflowing on Kachemak Drive.
A man at 2:04 p.m. reported flooding in the Danview Avenue area.
A woman at 2:29 p.m. reported flooding in the Rangeview Avenue area.
