Sept. 10

Police at 12:34 a.m. contacted an 18-year-old man driving on Main Street and arrested him for driving under the influence, drugs, and two counts of second-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, methamphetamines.

A caller at 7 a.m. reported a man died at an Elderberry Court home. Police and medics responded.

A caller at 9:15 a.m. reported someone vandalized an art project at Mariner Park on the Spit.

A caller at 5:01 p.m. reported dogs acted aggressively outside a Sterling Highway business. The owner removed the dogs.

A caller at 5:18 p.m. reported a teenager hiding in the trees at Karen Hornaday Park. Police responded and determined the young person was involved in live-action role playing. All was OK.

Police at 5:54 p.m. contacted a driver at Beluga Place and issued a citation for driving while license suspended.

Police at 10:34 p.m. contacted a 23-year-old woman driving on the Sterling Highway near Saltwater Drive and arrested her for DUI-drugs and fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, heroin.

Sept. 11

A caller at 12:16 p.m. reported a plane making an unusually steep descent on landing at Beluga Lake. Police responded and found all was OK.

A caller at 1:35 p.m. reported a broken window on a vehicle parked on Klondike Avenue.

A harbor officer at 1:26 p.m. reported a broken window on a vehicle parked on Freight Dock Road.

A person at 9:14 p.m. reported shooting a moose inside city limits on Mariner Drive.

Sept. 12

A caller at 8:26 a.m. reported a vehicle had been vandalized at a Mount Augustine Drive address.

A caller at 1:04 p.m. reported a domestic violence crime at a Ben Walter’s Lane address.

Police at 4 p.m. assisted a probation officer and arrested a 21-year-old man for a probation violation.

Sept. 13

Police at 2:10 a.m. arrested a 30-year-old woman for fourth-degree assault and criminal mischief.

A caller at 5:57 p.m. reported an expected death at home of a woman at a Kachemak Way home. Police and medics responded.

A caller at 6:26 p.m. reported a domestic dispute at an East End Road home.

Sept. 14

A caller at 1:08 a.m. reported a drunk woman drove into a building on Fairview Avenue and then drove away.

A caller at 1:47a.m. made a REDDI complaint of a driver leaving a Bartlett Street parking lot. Police stopped the driver and arrested a 60-year-old man for DUI and driving while license revoked.

A woman at 1:04 p.m. reported a driver in a vehicle followed her home.

A caller at 1:48 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a man in a Bartlett Street public restroom.

A caller at 3:45 p.m. reported a man asleep in the Bartlett Street public restroom. Police responded and advised the man to move along.

Police at 5 p.m. arrested a 48-year-old man on a probation violation.

A caller at 6:12 p.m. reported stray cows in a Kachemak Drive parking lot. Police contacted the owner who made arrangements to remove the animals.

A caller at 6:12 p.m. reported loose and aggressive dogs in the Forest Glen Drive area. Police advised the animal control officer.

A person at 7:53 p.m. reported an unknown man made an inappropriate remark and possibly followed a person at a Sterling Highway address.

A caller at 10:03 p.m. reported a domestic dispute.

Sept. 15

A caller at 9:37 a.m. reported a disturbance at an East End Road address. Police responded.

A caller at 10:56 a.m. asked for a person to be removed from a Bartlett Street address.

A caller at 12:19 p.m. reported shoplifting at a Sterling Highway business.

A caller at 12:26 p.m. reported a theft from a vehicle on the Spit.

A man at 4:32 p.m. reported theft of medication.

A person at 7:46 p.m. made a 911 call of a domestic violence incident at a Svedlund Street address. Police responded and arrested a 36-year-old man for assault, domestic violence.

Sept. 16

A woman at 8:45 a.m. reported a man broke into her Main Street apartment and threatened her. Police arrested a 23-year-old man for assault and criminal mischief.

A caller at 12:40 p.m. reported a drunk man was having a hard time sitting up at a Lake Street address. Police responded and found the man was OK and doing landscaping.

A caller at 1:51 p.m. reported a disturbance and possible drug activity at a Lakeside Drive address.

A caller at 2:47 p.m. reported a shoplifter at a Sterling Highway business. The caller asked police to issue a trespass notice to the person.

A caller at 5:15 p.m. reported a driver in a truck “rolled coal” and intentionally emitted excess amounts of exhaust.

A caller at 6:40 p.m. reported a theft in progress of a boat motor at the harbor. Police contacted the suspects and issued a summons to a 44-year-old man for driving while license revoked. The motor was returned to the owner. The case is under investigation.

Police at 11:03 p.m. contacted a 45-year-old man driving on the Spit and arrested him for DUI and not having a valid operator’s license.

Sept. 17

A man at 8:53 a.m. reported his dog was stolen from an Aspen Lane address. Police left a message for the animal control officer. The dog was returned home.

A person at 8:22 p.m. made a 911 call of a man found dead at a Fairview Avenue address.

Police at 10:37 p.m. made a traffic stop on 39-year-old man driving on Pioneer Avenue and issued him a summons for driving while license revoked.

Alaska State Troopers at 11:29 p.m. asked for police backup for a loud wedding party on Diamond Ridge Road.

Sept. 18

Police at 12:10 a.m. cited a driver for driving while license suspended

A caller at 1:16 a.m. reported horses loose in the road on East Skyline Drive.

A man at 8:52 a.m. reported a break-in at an East End Road address.

A caller at 11:09 a.m. reported signs stolen from the front yard of an Eagle View Drive address.

A caller at 2:21 p.m. reported a vehicle stuck in the mud on an incoming high tide at Bishop’s Beach. Police later saw the vehicle being driven off the beach OK.

Sept. 19

A caller at 3:46 a.m. reported a man and a woman yelling and crying in the street on Soundview Avenue. Police responded.
