Jan. 13

A caller at 10 a.m. reported a patient left a Bartlett Street facility against medical advice.

A woman at 12:40 p.m. reported a driver tried to do intentional harm with a car on A Street.

A woman at 1 p.m. reported losing a wallet.

A caller at 1 p.m. reported property stolen from an Ocean Drive Loop address.

A caller at 2 p.m. reported the whereabouts of a possible wanted person.

A man at 5:15 p.m. reported a dispute with his juvenile son.

Jan. 14

A caller at 2:53 p.m. reported a theft.

A caller at 4:12 p.m. reported losing a large roll of wire from a moving vehicle.

Two people at 2 p.m. reported a possible fraud in the area.

The Alaska State Troopers at 10:13 p.m. reported a stolen car and asked police to be on the lookout for it.

A caller at 11:46 p.m. reported loud music coming from a car at Bishop’s Beach. Police also did a drug investigation in the area.

Police at 2:22 a.m. contacted a 22-year-old woman driving on Heath Street and issued her a summons for driving in violation of her license.

Jan. 16

A woman at 10:15 a.m. reported a broken car window at a Kachemak Drive address.

A woman at 7:35 p.m. reported water coming into the crawl space of a Kachemak Drive building. Police notified Public Works.

A woman at 11:01 p.m. reported a theft from a Pennock Street address. Police responded and arrested a 24-year-old man for third-degree theft.

Jan. 17

A caller at 11 a.m. reported water over the road near Mile 168 Sterling Highway. Police advised the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities.

A caller at 1:11 p.m. reported water over the road near Mile 2 Kachemak Drive. Police advised the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities.

A caller at 1:40 p.m. reported people drinking near the Homer Public Library. Police contacted several men who agreed to leave the area.

A woman at 9:27 p.m. reported a domestic dispute in progress at a Fairview Avenue address. Police responded and arrested a 21-year-old woman for a probation violation.

A caller at 10:58 p.m. reported a Toyota with its engine running at the end of a Bayridge Road driveway for more than an hour. Police contacted the driver and issued a warning for driving under the influence. Police provided transportation for the driver.

Jan. 18

A man at 3:06 p.m. reported a wood splitter in the middle of the road on West Hill Road near Seascape Drive. Police responded but could not find the wood splitter.

A woman at 8:41 p.m. asked for contact information for a California police department to report a possible abduction from 1999.

Police at 11:27 p.m. contacted a 32-year-old man driving on East End Road and issued him a summons for driving while license revoked.

Jan. 19

Police at 12:38 a.m. contacted a 34-year-old man driving on the Sterling Highway and issued him a summons for failure to have motor vehicle insurance.

A caller at 1:19 a.m. reported seeing a bear at the Bidarka Inn on the Sterling Highway. Police responded.

Police at 5:11 a.m. contacted a 36-year-old man driving on Fairview Avenue and arrested him for driving while license revoked and on a driver’s license violation.

A caller at 5:27 a.m. reported icy road conditions throughout town. Police notified Public Works.

A caller at 10:32 a.m. reported finding a firearm while doing housekeeping duties at a Sterling Highway address. Police responded and took custody of the firearm.

A caller at 12:10 p.m. reported a dead sea otter on the Homer Spit beach. Police notified the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

A man at 1:45 p.m. reported an injured moose in the Lathrop Drive area.

A caller at 3:57 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a person outside a Ben Walters Lane address. Police responded and took a woman into protective custody and to South Peninsula Hospital.

A caller at 4:58 p.m. reported hearing suspicious sounds in front of an Ocean Drive Loop business that should be closed. Police responded and found open windows and wind to be the source of suspicious noises. All was OK.

Police at 10:16 p.m. contacted a 25-year-old man driving on Pioneer Avenue and issued him a summons for driving while license suspended.

Jan. 20

A caller reported a disputed between family members at a Danview Avenue address. Police arrested an 18-year-old woman for criminal mischief.

A caller at 3:40 p.m. reported an expected death at home of a 73-year-old man.

A caller at 3:26 p.m. reported a man causing a disturbance at a Hazel Avenue address. Police provided a drunk man a ride.
