What can we say? It’s cold but beautiful, the perfect weather to enjoy cozy, indoor events like these best bets:

BEST HOCKEY BET: Need to get a fix of ice hockey this season? Check out the End of the Road Shootout Hockey Tourney at Kevin Bell Ice Arena between Homer, Kenai, Wasilla and West Anchorage Thursday, Friday and Saturday. On Thursday, Kenai faces West Anchorage at 5 p.m. and Homer meets Wasilla on the ice at 7:30 p.m. On Friday, Kenai challenges Wasilla at 5 p.m. with Homer facing off against West Anchorage at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday, Wasilla takes on West Anchorage at 10 a.m. and Homer faces Kenai at 12:30 p.m. Show some Mariner spirit and cheer on the team as they take the ice.

BEST BUNNELL ARTS BY AIR BET: Seldovia-based musician Jim Maloney will perform during the Bunnell Arts by Air simulcast with KBBI Radio at Bunnell Street Arts Center Friday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. Tickets are limited for the in-person concert and cost $15. Masks are required inside.

BEST THANKSGIVING PIE BET: A Thanksgiving pie auction will be held at the Kate Kuhn’s Aquatic Center Tuesday, Nov. 23 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. just in time for Thanksgiving feasts! Winners will be contacted Tuesday afternoon to collect their pies on Wednesday. All proceeds will go toward the pool’s community outreach programs.

BEST REAL ESTATE BET: Kachemak KW Alaska Group, formerly known as Kachemak Group Real Estate, holds an open house Saturday, Nov. 20 from 1-4 p.m. to reintroduce themselves to the community after merging with Keller Williams Realty. Horsd’oeuvres will be catered by The Tickled Pear and prizes will be awarded. The open house will be at the new office, located at 925 Sea Plane Court off Ocean Drive.

BEST THANKSGIVING BASKET BET: Do you want to help community members in need this Thanksgiving? Consider donating to the Kachemak Bay Lions Club Thanksgiving Basket Program to provide food for those who otherwise wouldn’t have a dinner to celebrate. BEST HOLIDAY BAZAAR BET: Get started on your holiday shopping at the Anchor Point Senior Center mini holiday bazaar Nov. 20-21 and Dec. 11-12! The bazaar will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and will feature woodworking, local artists, vintage jewelry, crafts, glasswork, clothing, bags, hand-crafted ornaments and more. Food will also be available for purchase.
