Registration for winter/spring semester is going on for all upcoming winter and spring classes. Classes include Tai Chi, Yoga, Winter Survival Skills, Biology of Sharks, Book Arts, Fly Fishing, Film Studies, Digital Camera and Wilderness First Responder. At 6:30 p.m. Jan. 30, visiting fiction writer Alan Heathcock does a public reading and craft talk.
Registration has started for the 2013 Kachemak Bay Writers’ Conference, to be held June 14-18 at Land’s End Resort. Poet Naomi Shihab Nye is the keynote presenter. The early registration fee is $375, space available, with a special student rate.
The conference features 17 other award-winning, nationally recognized authors, editors and agents who will conduct creative writing workshops, readings, craft talks and panel presentations.
