East coast musician EJ Simpson performs a one-man version of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Jesus Christ Superstar” at 8 p.m. May 9 at AJ’s OldTown Steakhouse. Tickets are $5 and can be reserved by calling 235-9949. The 1971 classic rock opera is based on the last week in the life of Christ. Simpson is a former member of the rap group The Goats and toured and recorded with Maggi, Pierce and EJ.
