Sol: “I am Siamese if you please, and my best friend is, well, not. But I don’t hold that against him. He’s a pretty cool dude and we are totally best buds. Hope we can go to a new home together.” Sol and Gus are 2-year-old friends. Sol is a snowshoe with deep blue eyes. Gus is a golden-eyed tuxedo with long whiskers and a white chin that looks like he dribbled milk. Both are affectionate and loving, but Gus is a bit more shy.

To adopt a pet, call or stop by the animal shelter across from the Public Works Department off the Sterling Highway. The shelter is open from noon-7 p.m. Tuesday, noon-5 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, and 11 a.m.-4 pm. Saturday-Sunday. Closed Mondays. For more information, call 235-3141.
