Pet of the Week

Loving and handsome Smokey needs your help. He was adopted a few weeks ago, and while his new family loved him, allergies proved to be too much, so he is back at the shelter. He suffered a broken leg at some point in his past and it is currently in a cast, which will mean some extra care. He is a sweet cat — very affectionate and friendly.

To adopt a pet, call or stop by the animal shelter across from the Public Works Department off the Sterling Highway. Theshelter is open from noon-7 p.m. Tuesday, noon-5 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, and 11 a.m.-4 pm. Saturday-Sunday. Closed Mondays. For more information, call 235-3141.
