Police charged a 20-year-old woman with fourth-degree theft. A caller at 3:20 p.m. reported a drunk man and woman walking on the Sterling Highway. A man at 4:09 p.m. reported a hit-and-run car crash on Bartlett Street. Police at 4:30 p.m. helped a person with a nuisance caller. A woman at 5:24 p.m. reported an eagle stuck in a trap on Crossman Ridge Road. Police notified the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. A man at 6:45 p.m. reported finding in the middle of the night a full can of gasoline next to his truck on Bartlett Street. Several callers at 8:53 p.m. reported a disturbance at the harbor. Jan. 22 A caller at 12:52 a.m. reported problems with a tenant. Police offered advice and said the issue was a civil matter. A man at 9:01 a.m. reported a man walking on Ben Walters Lane had been hit by a car. EMTs and police responded. A bus driver at 9:30 a.m. reported that on Jan. 17 a driver in a pick up truck with a snowplow passed a school bus with red lights flashing near Mile 170 Sterling Highway. Police at 12:23 p.m. assisted Alaska State Troopers in being on the lookout for a suspect in a brown pickup truck driving westbound toward Homer. Police at 3:10 p.m. served an arrest warrant on a suspect at a Bunnell Avenue address. A man at 3:52 p.m. reported he hit a moose on East End Road near Bear Creek Drive. A woman at 2:05 p.m. reported someone driving a car on Beluga Lake. Police at 2:45 p.m. served several animal control tickets . A man at 3:45 p.m. asked for help regarding a theft. A man at 3:57 p.m. reported a car on Beluga Lake near open water. Police responded. Police at 4:41 p.m. served an animal control ticket at a Pioneer Avenue address. A caller at 2:45 p.m. reported a domestic dispute. Police charged and arrested a 46-year-old woman with violating conditions of release and assault. A caller at 4:30 p.m. reported a temporary restraining order violation. Police at 6:01 p.m. arrested a 37-year-old woman on an outstanding warrant. A woman at 8:23 p.m. requested a welfare check on herself. Police went to a Sterling Highway address, but the woman was gone on arrival. A caller at 10:16 p.m. reported driving by a business on Grubstake Avenue and seeing a cleaning lady trapped in the arctic entryway and banging on the glass. Police responded and contacted the key holder to the business to open the door and free the cleaning lady. All was OK. Jan. 26 Police at 1:45 a.m. assisted firefighters with a medical call on Hazel Avenue. A man at 9:21 a.m. reported a stolen firearm. A caller at 11:22 a.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a man at a Kachemak Way address. Police contacted the man and found he was OK. Police at 1:02 p.m. arrested a 27-year-old man on a probation violation. A man at 4:30 p.m. reported his daughter left their home with a duffle bag. The daughter later returned home safely. A caller at 5:20 p.m. reported a driver cut other people off driving on East End Road. Police at 9:01 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 24-year-old man driving on East End Road and arrested him on an outstanding warrant. An Alaska State Trooper at 11:46 p.m. reported seeing two suspicious men walking on Main Street. Police contacted the men and found all was OK. Jan. 27 Police at 1:44 a.m. did a requested security check of a Bonanza Avenue home. Police arrested a 19-year-old man for criminal trespass. A person at 2:21 a.m. made a 911 call of a domestic dispute in progress at a Pioneer Avenue address. Police responded and arrested a 40-year-old woman for disorderly conduct, trespassing and harassment. A man at 5:39 a.m. reported a theft from an East End Road business when he arrived at work that morning. Jan. 28 Troopers at 1:58 a.m. asked for assistance in locating overdue motorists. A caller at 12:40 p.m. reported a domestic dispute at a Main Street address. Police responded. The incident did not rise to the level of a crime. A woman at 2 p.m. reported the theft of a coat from a Hazel Avenue building. A caller at 2:12 p.m. asked for information regarding the city sign ordinance. A man at 5:25 p.m. reported a culvert was plugged up on Mattox Road, causing a road hazard. Police notified Public Works. A woman at 5:25 p.m. reported a possible temporary restraining order violation at a Bunnell Avenue address. A woman at 7:12 p.m. advised that she thought Mattox Road needed to be sanded.
