Pratt Museum

New winter hours are noon-5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.

The Ritz art preview exhibit will be on display in the Pratts Special Exhibits Gallery through Oct. 30 and will give visitors the opportunity to preview the art that will be auctioned at the annual Ritz fundraiser event. Ritz tickets are now on sale. For more information, call the Pratt at 235-8635.

The Pratt invites families to put on their Halloween costumes and trick or treat at the Historic Harrington Homestead Cabin located on the grounds of the Pratt Museum Oct. 31 from 4 to 6 p.m. All ages are welcome, especially children in kindergarten through grade 6.

History in the Making: Quilts, Quilters and Their Stories is an exhibition of quilts by individual quilters which reflect our rich history and personal connection to this place, the Kachemak Bay region. The exhibit opens with a reception on Friday, Nov. 9 from 5-7 p.m. and remains on display through Dec. 30, 201.

The 2012 Ritz at the Winter Palace will be an evening at Wasabis featuring a full course dinner, wine, champagne and specialty drinks, entertainment, dancing and art and experience auctions to benefit the Pratt Museum starting at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 3. Tickets are $100 each and are on sale now at the Pratt Museum store and at the Homer Bookstore. For more information, call the Pratt 235-8635.
