Robert “Bob” Anthony Jones

Robert “Bob” Anthony Jones, age 72, died on July 25, 2019 at his home in Homer, Alaska.

He was born in Savanah, Georgia on Oct. 3, 1946 to Thomas and Mary Jones. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and then moved to Homer, Alaska in 1983.

Bob loved cooking, especially smoking and barbecuing meats; it was a great passion of his. Bob enjoyed watching Nascar and football, waving his hands like a crazy man thinking he could speed up the car or push the ball further for the win.

After the Vietnam War as a naval gun boat soldier, he went on to be a mechanical plumber and retired as such. Bob could never get enough time with his family, he always wanted more. He loved them all with all he had.

Bob is survived by his wife, Linda Jones of Homer; son, Bobby Jones of Wasilla; and daughters, Amy Williams of Homer and Nicole Powell of Kenai.
