Troopers
Dec. 4
Alaska State Troopers at 9:18 a.m. went to a report of a vehicle rollover on East End Road and found a 1992 Subaru Loyale off the road and on its side. The car had significant damage and was unoccupied. Troopers investigated and said an 18-year-old Homer woman driving east the night before lost control of her car. The woman wore her seat belt and had minor injuries. Troopers allege she did not try to report the crash to law enforcement and issued her a citation for failure to give immediate notice of an accident.
Dec. 8
Troopers at 4:33 p.m. went to a three-car crash at Mile 116.5 Sterling Highway near Kasilof. Central Emergency Services also responded. Troopers said a 49-year-old Soldotna woman driving a Toyota sedan went into the ditch and rolled on its roof. A 58-year-old Anchor Point man driving north in a Ford Ranger pickup truck slowed down when he saw the car in the ditch and lost control of his car, crossing the center line and hitting a Chevrolet truck driven by a 25-year-old Soldotna man. The Soldotna woman and man were taken to Central Peninsula Hospital with minor injuries. Both trucks and the sedan were totaled. Troopers cited the Anchor Point man for not taking due care to avoid a collision.
