State Trooper Report

Nov. 15

Alaska Bureau of Highway Patrol Troopers at 5:13 p.m. stopped a 36-year-old Ninilchik man driving near Mile 112 Sterling Highway, Kasilof, for an equipment violation. Troopers said a records check showed the man had a revoked license for several previous driving under the influence offenses and that he was on probation. Troopers arrested the man for driving while license revoked and a probation violation and took him to Wildwood Pretrial Facility.

Troopers at 7 p.m. contacted a 20-year-old Homer woman in a Ford Explorer at the Tern Lake pull out near Moose Pass. Troopers said the woman had an outstanding arrest warrant and operated a vehicle without a valid driver’s license.

Nov. 18

Troopers at 12:30 p.m. contacted a 53-year-old Anchor Point man at his home after family asked them to a welfare check. Trooper said the man violated probation conditions for a felony DUI conviction because he had consumed alcohol. They attempted to arrest him and said the man resisted arrest. Troopers pepper-sprayed him and took him into custody. He was charged with resisting arrest and violating probation conditions for consuming alcohol.
