May 23
Alaska State Troopers at 11:56 a.m. made a traffic stop on a 20-year-old Anchorage man near Deep Creek. Troopers issued the man a summons for driving while license suspended for a points-system violation.
Troopers at 5:10 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 43-year-old Ninilchik driver on the Sterling Highway near Ninilchik. Troopers cited him for driving while license suspended.
Troopers at 6:34 p.m. went to a Sterling Highway home for a report of CPR in progress. EMTs arrived and pronounced a 61-year-old man had died. After a death investigation, troopers determined no foul was suspected. The man’s body was taken to South Peninsula Hospital and released into custody of the Kenai mortuary. Next of kin has not been located and the man’s name has not been released.
Troopers went to a Diamond Ridge Road home for a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival troopers contacted a 63-year-old man they said became physically resistant. The man had pre-existing medical conditions and was taken to the hospital. Charges for disorderly conduct are pending.

Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited a 52-year-old Fairbanks man for sport fishing with scent gel on his lure in the Ninilchik River where waters are restricted to a single unbaited hook.
Wildlife Troopers cited a 58-year-old Anchorage man for sport fishing with bait on the Ninilchik River.
Wildlife Troopers cited a 29-year-old Ninilchik man for sport fishing with a treble hook when the waters are open to a single, unbaited hook.
Troopers at 2:30 p.m. stopped a 22-year-old Cottonwood, Calif., man for speeding near Mile 132 Sterling Highway in Ninilchik. Troopers cited him for driving while license suspended.
Troopers at 4 p.m. stopped a 19-year-old Anchor Point man on the North Fork Road after observing a passenger not wearing a seatbelt. Troopers cited the driver for  driving in violation of his instructional permit and  possession of marijuana.  
Alaska Bureau of Highway Patrol Troopers at 4:34 p.m. stopped a 38-year-old woman for an equipment violation near Mile 156 Sterling Highway. Troopers cited her for not having a valid operator’s license.
