The Super Saturated Sugar Strings holds a CD-release concert for its new album, “Heart Shaped Leaves,” at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Bunnell Street Arts Center. Based in Anchorage, the group describes itself as “a high-energy, harmonious blend of piano, violin, cello, guitar, and odd percussion, creating the sound of a sweet and funky foot-stomping symphony.” Making up the Super Saturated Sugar Strings are Carlyle Watt, Kathryn Moore, Theresa Taylor and Homer-raised musician Miriah Phelps.
