Local author Linda Thompson’s third book, “Let Us Be Brave,” has been published. Thompson reads from her book from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the Homer Council of the Arts. Light refreshments will be served. Autographed copies will be available for sale. The book is fiction based on fact about five Special Olympic athletes who are in a plane crash near Augustine Volcano, about the challenges they face and how they work together to survive.
