Homer Police

June 16

Homer Police at 10:34 p.m. contacted a 25-year-old Illinois man and arrested him for felony eluding an officer,

driving while license revoked, and reckless driving. He was taken to the Homer Jail.

June 17

Police at 11:12 p.m. went to a Pioneer Avenue bar for a man who refused to leave. Police arrested a 43-year-old Anchorage man for second-degree criminal trespassing and took him to the Homer Jail.

June 18

Police at 2:19 a.m. made a traffic stop on a 35-year-old California man and arrested him for driving under the influence, fourth-degree assault, refusal to submit to a chemical test and failure to yield. He was taken to the Homer Jail.

June 19

Kenai Probations requested a breathalyzer test on a 50-year-old Homer woman. Police contacted her and she registered a .151 breath-alcohol test. Police arrested her for a probation violation and took her to the Homer Jail.

Police at 7:25 a.m. contacted a Homer man and found he was in possession of a stolen bicycle. Police arrested him for two counts of fourth-degree theft, second-degree burglary and three counts of violating conditions of release.

Police at 12:45 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 56-year-old Homer man and arrested him for driving while license revoked, no liability insurance and violating conditions of release. He was taken to the Homer Jail.

Alaska State Troopers

June 15

Alaska State Troopers at 3:53 p.m. received multiple “report every dangerous driver immediately” complaints of a person driving recklessly in a red 2019 Chevrolet Silverado northbound on the Sterling Highway away from Ninilchik. Troopers stopped the vehicle near Milepost 114 Sterling Highway after observing similar driving behavior. Troopers identified the driver as a 71-year-old Soldotna man. Troopers said the man drove while impaired and under the influence of controlled substances. Troopers arrested for him for DUI and violation of conditions of release and took him to Wildwood Pretrial Facility in Kenai.

June 16

Troopers at 5:12 p.m. received a REDDI complaint of a driver heading northbound on the Sterling Highway near Anchor Point. The complainant reported the vehicle was having difficulty maintaining its lane of travel and going into on-coming traffic. AST located the vehicle. Troopers said a 63-year-old Anchor Point man drove under the influence of alcohol. Troopers arrested him for DUI a fourth-degree misconduct involving weapons. in the 4th Degree. Troopers took him to the Homer Jail.

June 20

Troopers at 10:02 a.m. went to a Nikolaevsk Road home for a report of a disturbance. Troopers arrested a 49-year-old Nikolaevsk man after it was determined he assaulted a family member. Troopers took him to the Homer Jail.
