July 5-11
Firefighters and emergency medical technicians responded to 11 medical calls and six fire calls. EMTs went to three advanced life support emergencies, eight basic life support emergencies and one no-transport emergency medical services calls. Firefighters went to two fire alarm, one mutual aid call, one illegal burn and one Dumpster fire.

Homer Police
July 3
Homer Police at 9:50 p.m. made a routine traffic stop on a 45-year-old Homer man. Police arrested him for driving under the influence and took him to the Homer Jail.
July 5
Police at 10:35 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 29-year-old Anchor Point man and arrested him for DUI and fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance. He was taken to the Homer Jail.
July 11
Police at 11:48 a.m. contacted a 30-year-old Homer man and arrested him for failure to appear in court on an original charge of DUI. He was taken to the Homer Jail.
Alaska State Troopers
June 29
Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited a 44-year-old Homer man for commercial fishing during a closed period in Nushagak Bay.
July 5
Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited a 41-year-old Homer man for commercial fishing in closed waters in the Egegik District.
July 6
Alaska State Troopers at about 8:40 p.m. went to a disturbance at a home on the Old Sterling Highway in Anchor Point. Troopers alleged a 50-year-old Anchor Point man assaulted his girlfriend during an argument. Troopers arrested him and took him to the Homer Jail. Alcohol was a factor in this incident.
July 8
Troopers at 5:17 p.m. received a “report every dangerous driver immediately” complaint of a driver on the North Fork Road. Troopers found the suspect vehicle in Anchor Point with the help of Alaska State Park Ranger. Troopers said the driver, a 45-year-old Anchor Point man, drove with a revoked license and issued him a summons for driving with a revoked license and violating conditions of release.
Troopers at 5:25 p.m. went to a report of a vehicle in the ditch near Seabury Road in Anchor Point. Troopers found the driver pulling the vehicle into a near-by residence. Troopers arrested the driver, a 64-year-old Anchor Point man, for DUI and took him to the Homer Jail.
Wildlife Troopers cited a 64-year-old Homer man for commercial fishing during a closed period in the Egegik District.
July 9
Troopers at 5:52 p.m. received a REDDI complaint of a driver heading north near Mile 147 Sterling Highway in Ninilchik. A Park Ranger found the suspect driver and made a traffic stop. Troopers said a 29-year-old Pennsylvania man drove under the influence of cannabis. A records check showed the man’s license was suspended, with two prior convictions of DUI in the last 10 years. Troopers arrested the man for felony DUI and cited him for driving on a suspended license. He was taken to the Homer Jail.
