Trooper Report

Sept. 23

Alaska State Troopers at 6:38 p.m. contacted a 24-year-old Homer man who was the passenger of a vehicle stopped for a speeding violation near Mile 3 of East End Road. Troopers arrested the man on a warrant for robbery and theft from a June 4 incident in Ninilchik.

Sept. 24

Troopers at 10:59 a.m. went to a Ninilchik home for a report of an assault. Troopers found the victim bleeding profusely in the road. Troopers alleged a 33-year-old Ninilchik woman hit a family member with a metal broom on the head and body, causing serious injuries. EMTs took the victim to a local hospital. Troopers said the woman cleaned up blood at the crime scene and also broke items during the assault and while cleaning. Troopers arrested the woman and charged her with first-degree assault, fourth-degree assault, tampering with physical evidence and fourth-degree criminal mischief, all domestic violence related.

Sept. 26

Troopers at 5:10 p.m. went to a report of a truck crash on Diamond Ridge Road. Troopers contacted the driver and only occupant, a 65-year-old Anchor Point man. He was transported to South Peninsula Hospital for serious injuries. Troopers said alcohol is a possible factor. Investigation continues.
