Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited a 54-year-old Homer man for commercial fishing during a closed period in the Naknek-Kvichak district in Bristol Bay.

July 17

Wildlife troopers at 10:03 p.m. contacted a 27-year-old Homer man working as a crewmember in the Cook Inlet commercial fishery. Troopers cited him for not having a current crewmember license in his possession.

July 18

Troopers at 10 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 63-year-old Homer man driving a 1998 Ford Ranger pickup truck near Mile 18 East End Road. Troopers arrested the man for driving under the influence and also charged him with sixth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, marijuana.

Wildlife troopers cited a 24-year-old Anchor Point man for taking a king salmon during a closed season on the Kenai River north beach.

Wildlife troopers cited a 58-year-old Homer man for failing to record personal-use caught salmon prior to leaving the fishing site on the Kenai River north beach.
