Vincent J. and Joyce Baker Porte

Vincent J. and Joyce Baker Porte celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Joyce Baker and Vince Porte were married June 14, 1957, in Altonna, Pa. Moving to Alaska in 1959, they lived on Kodiak Island and Kenai. Although a few years were spent in the Lower 48 for Vince to obtain two masters degrees in theology and social work, they returned to Alaska in 1969 with their four children and lived in Soldotna, Anchorage and Eagle River, where Vince both pastored a church and had a counseling service, and Joyce became a Realtor. They now find themselves in Homer where they have lived since 1990 and where they are celebrating 60 years of respect, commitment and a shared Christian faith.
