4.4 quake hits near Homer Wednesday
A magnitude 4.4 earthquake rattled the lower Kenai Peninsula about 10 a.m. Wednesday.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the epicenter was 33 miles northwest of Anchor Point and hit 61 miles deep.
If any king salmon is caught while fishing for other species, they may not be removed from the water and must be released immediately.
The three pups join the Alaska SeaLife Center’s ‘growing’ patient list.
Community parades were held in Homer and Anchor Point Friday in honor of the holiday.
