I would like to offer a big thank you to the American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 16 for the generous scholarship of $500. I was thrilled to learn of my selection for this honor and I am deeply appreciative of their support.

After salmon fishing, I will be leaving for Concordia University to earn a bachelor of science degree in nursing, specializing in pediatrics. The financial assistance the auxiliary provided will be of great help to me in paying my educational expenses, and it will allow me to concentrate more of my time for studying.

I want to thank the auxiliary again for its generosity and support.  I promise, I will work very hard and give something back to others, both as a nurse and possibly via a scholarship to future students like myself.
