Cabin Fever Variety Show benefits Anchor Point library

The public is invited to the Cabin Fever Variety Show, an annual fundraising event for the Anchor Point Public Library.  It will be held at the Chapman School gym in Anchor Point at 7 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $7 general; $5 for 12 and under, 55 and over; $15 family.

In past years, the event, as well as its silent dessert auction, have benefited the library’s building fund. This year, it will help the library move from its current location at one end of the Veterans of Foreign War Post 10221’s building to a new location near the corner of the Sterling Highway and North Fork Road.

“Bob and Laura Craig bought the building and the library’s going to lease it with an option to buy,” said Mary Perry, long-time organizer of Cabin Fever Variety Show.

The building includes two apartments and storage units so the library “will be bringing in some revenue and hopefully be a little more self-sufficient,” said Perry.
