A new sign is installed at Chapman School on Oct. 6, featuring the school’s mascot, a bald eagle. The sign was created by artist Dana Bachiochi. Working are, from left, Mike Charles, Chapman Principal Conrad Woodhead, Tanya Shafer and Angelo Toci. Not shown are Etta Toci and Travis Mooney. Poles for the sign were donated by Ray and Linda Williams, rope to trim the sign was donated by Kachemak Gear Shed and the post holes were dug by Gary Drake. Other support came from Chapman’s parent group.
