A 4.5 earthquake got the attention of late-nighters on the southern Kenai Peninsula on Wednesday. As reported by the West Coast Alaska Tsunami Warning Center, the 12:43 a.m. shaker was centered 60 miles southwest of Homer and was 52.2 miles beneath the earth’s surface. No tsunami danger was associated with the quake.
