From Homer Flex School:

“Senior Mila Stickrod is the winner of the Flex Phoenix Award for December. This award is given monthly to the student who represents Homer Flex values of respect, ownership, and productivity.

“Mila received this award because she sets a positive example for other students at school. Mila challenges herself on a regular basis, including taking classes at the college, applying for art awards, and stepping up at school when she finds it necessary.

“This year she has taken initiative and provided original insight by leading our local school food bag program. Her flexibility and awareness has made this program a true success. In addition, Mila is a talented artist who crafts high quality work including images, pictures, and ceramic pieces.”
