Golf tourney helps hospice

Hospice of Homer held its fourth annual Holes “Fore” Hospice golf tournament, at the Shoreline Golf Course in Homer, on June 15. The tournament was a great success. A heart-centered thank you to the many community members and businesses that made the event fun-filled for the golfers and a rewarding fundraiser for hospice.

To all the golfers a huge thanks for sharing your joy of golf in support of hospice. Congratulations to the first place team in the tournament. The players were Mike Houghton, Chris Morin, Bobby Carroll and Rick Pierce. A second congratulations goes to Charlie Rehder and Dean Miller as winners of closest to the pin contest.

Thanks to the generous businesses and individuals who sponsored holes and donated money and prizes for the tournament.

A special thank you goes to Dave and Beth Schroer for hosting and donating Shoreline Golf Course for the tournament.

For those of you who were not able to attend this event, please be sure to watch for next summer’s fifth annual Holes “Fore” Hospice golf tournament fundraiser.
