Homer seniors say thanks

The Friendship Center Adult Day Services staff thank our community of Homer and the surrounding area for a fantastic 2013 Christmas Craft Fair.

A special thank you to all the vendors for participating in our annual Christmas Craft Fair and providing all the wonderful, different and beautiful choices for Christmas shoppers on Dec. 14.

In spite of a foot or so of snow on the ground, and more coming down, (thanks for shoveling, Virginia Cox), it was a busy day with many people coming and going, shopping, browsing, and munching on doughnuts, muffins, cookies or  cupcakes with a cup of coffee, chocolate or tea.

Speaking of doughnuts, we are grateful to one of Homer’s own — Last Frontier Donuts & Cafe — for giving us a great deal. As a result, we were able to have delicious doughnuts on hand as advertised. Please help us thank them by continuing to give them your business.

Homer Senior Citizens Inc.’s kitchen came through for the other goodies as well, and are thankful for that, too.

Many thanks also go to those responsible for the great advertising of our annual event — Homer Senior Citizens Inc. office staff and Homer’s local  papers.

Last, but not least, thank you to those who kindly donated to Homer Senior Citizens Inc. before going home from the craft fair.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to one and all,
