Scholarships

American Legion Auxiliary Unit 16 Scholarships, $500 award: High School Seniors (student GPA 2 to 3.5), Deadline is April 10, 2016.

Applications are available at your local high school counselor’s office and at the American Legion Mile 2.5 East Road, Homer.

Child Find Preschooler Screenings: The Kenai Peninsula Borough School District Child Find Program will be offering free screenings for children not yet in kindergarten (3 to 5 years old). Program staff will screen your child’s motor skills, speech, early learning concepts, vision and hearing. Children will be seen by appointment only. The screening will be held in Anchor Point at the Chapman School on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. To make an appointment, call Chapman School at 907-235-8671.
