Students learn from artist

Paul Banks Elementary was fortunate to have Jimmy Riordan, an Alaska artist and bookmaker in our school this spring. We learned techniques and skills for new ways of presenting information and ideas through paper projects and book binding. We also got to have fun with printmaking. We appreciate the opportunity to bring fresh and vital art activities into the classroom to supplement and enrich the year-long arts programs in place at our school.

Thank you to Bunnell Street Arts Center, Alaska State Council on the Arts, the Rasmussen Foundation and the Paul Banks fundraising crew for their generous support and contributions to the Artist in the Schools program.
