Trial delayed in Restarits case

A trial scheduled this week in the case of Anthony Resetarits and Joseph Resetarits has been delayed until the week of April 7. Anthony Resetarits, 21, and Joseph Resetarits, 19, are charged with one count each of second-degree sexual assault stemming from an incident at a September 2012 East End Road drinking party attended by many Homer High School and other students.

Preliminary hearings had been held in Homer District Court for almost a year after the incident until a Kenai grand jury indicted the two last September. The case is now in Superior Court. The brothers have been out on bail since shortly after their arrest in October 2012.
