Homer’s Pee Wee hockey team finished their season undefeated. The final game with Juneau left Homer with the State Championship in a 4-1 victory. My unbiased pride has left me smiling, having watched these kids start skating five years ago, holding on to chairs and each other, seeing the parents traveling every weekend to Anchorage, Wasilla, Fairbanks, Kenai, Soldotna, etc., six months out of the year. All I can say is WWOOWW! Kids, you have been exceptional sports. We are proud of you.
