Anthony Joseph Amato, age 28, died in his home in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, on March 21, 2018.

Anthony was born in Greeley, Colorado. on Sept. 6, 1989, to Deborah and Joseph Amato. They moved to Ninilchik, Alaska when Anthony was an infant.

The greatest love in Anthony’s life was his beautiful daughter Ella. He was very proud of her and wanted nothing but the very best for her. Anthony’s sense of humor could brighten anyone’s day. He would dress up, dance and make funny videos, just to give someone a laugh. While attending Ninilchik High School, Anthony loved playing basketball. After some rocky teenage years, Anthony became very successful in the oil industry. Anthony was extremely clean and organized. He loved food, craft beers and fine cigars.

Anthony tried to change people’s lives by introducing them to AA and NA. He would mentor, adviseand listen. He was loved by so many people and his absence in our lives will be deeply felt by all who knew him.

He is survived by his mother, Deborah Amato of Ninilchik; his father Joseph Amato of Grants Pass, Oregon; his daughter, Ella, of Show Low, Arizona; his brother, Alexander Kaye, with wife Janice, and two nephews, Barrett and Lewis of Ninilchik; sister, Sharon Stewart, with husband Corey, of Homer; his girlfriend, Kerry Swartchick of Marietta, Pennsylvania; and aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A private celebration of life will be held by his family on April 21.
