Douglas Moe

Jan. 26, 1956-May 7, 2022

On May 7, 2022, Douglas Moe passed away in his sleep in Anchorage, Alaska. Doug closed one book of an amazing life and undoubtedly picked up a new one to begin his next wild adventure. Born Jan 26, 1956, in Anchorage Alaska, Doug was the son of Connie and Edward Moe. Doug is survived by his siblings, Cheri Backman, Debbie Belcher, and Chris Moe; his children, Kiel Moe, Inga Moe, and Barrett Moe; and his granddaughter, Eva Moe.

A nomadic soul and a loving father, Doug was dedicated to his family, his friends, and his community. He established himself as an innovative businessman through his company Anchor Point Foam, which leaves legacies in many buildings and landmarks around Anchor Point and Homer.

May we all sit together looking at pictures of Doug climbing mountains, hunting the backwoods, hauling trees, building houses, crafting foam boats and piñatas, making his dreams become realities. It is undeniable that although he was taken too soon, Doug lived a full life and will forever be loved and missed by his family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. June 4, 2022, at the Anchor Point Beach to the left of the boat launch.

All who knew him are welcome and encouraged to come and share memories of Doug. We all know he loved sharing a good story.
