Homer runners Marty Everts, Elizabeth Roedl, Stacy Buckelew and Jimmy Neumayer catch their breath at the finish of Saturday’s 50-mile Resurrection Pass Ultra Race. Buckelew was the first woman to cross the finish line with Roedl grabbing second place. The weekend’s ultra trail races began with a 100-miler that started Friday near Hope and finished at the trailhead in Cooper Landing. Saturday’s 50-mile race began at the Cooper Landing trailhead, followed a detour and ended at the Resurrection Pass trailhead in Hope. Wil Roedl of Homer also participated in the event.
