Homer’s Mumm wins ski at Little Su 50K

Homer’s Josh Mumm won the 50-kilometer ski at the Little Su 50K and Susitna 100 over the weekend in Big Lake.

Mumm finished in 3 hours, 52 minutes and 50 seconds to take the title, while Homer’s Ivy Schultz was second at 6:03:02.

In the 50K bike, Kenai’s Eric Thomason placed fourth at 3:54:21. Thomason said the conditions at the race were extremely challenging, comparing them to mashed potatoes. David Arteaga of Anchorage won at 3:02:23. Also, Cooper Landing’s David Story was 27th in 7:58:08.

In the 50-kilometer run, Homer’s Lindsay Martin was 13th overall in 8:48:02, Homer’s Jessi Dullinger was 14th in 8:48:05 and Homer’s Stephanie Schmit was 15th in 8:48:09. Dillingham’s Nick Schollmeier won in 5:43:36.

In the 100-mile bike, Homer’s Derek Reynolds was 22nd in 26:05:00. Anchorage’s Nicholas Baudin won at 16:39:45.
