The 2014 Ninilchik Invitational Championship Tournament will be held Feb. 5-8 and features boys and girls teams from Skyview, Unalakleet, Chevak, Noorvik, Noatak and Ninilchik.
The four days of play begin Feb. 5 with:
Game 1: Chevak girls vs. Noorvik, 2 p.m.
Game 2: Chevak boys vs. Noorvik, 3:30 p.m.
Game 3: Noatak girls vs. Ninilchik, 5 p.m.
Game 4: Noatak boys vs. Ninilchik, 6:30 p.m.
Two more schools join the action Feb. 6:
Game 5: Winner of Game 1 vs. Skyview, noon
Game 6: Winner of Game 2 vs. Skyview, 1:30 p.m.
Skills contest, 3-4:30 p.m.
Game 7: Winner of Game 3 vs. Unalakleet, 5 p.m.
Game 8: Winner of Game 4 vs. Unalakleet, 6:30 p.m.
Starting at 8 a.m. Feb. 7, and continuing through the early afternoon, the losers of Games 1-8 are paired in competition. The winners of Games 1-8 compete in games beginning at
3 p.m.
The action begins again at 9 a.m. Feb. 8, with six games stretching through the afternoon.
The girls championship game is at 3 p.m. and the boys championship game is at 4:30 p.m.
An awards ceremony follows the final game.
