Ninilchik Invitational Championship underway

The Ninilchik Invitational Championship Tournament began Wednesday and continues through Saturday, with teams from Chevak, Ninilchik, Noatak, Noorvik, Skyview and Unalakleet.

The tournament started with games between the girls and boys teams from Chevak and Noorvik in the afternoon and Ninilchik girls and boys facing teams from Noatak in the evening. Today’s games begin at noon and pull Skyview into the action, a skills contest is at 3 p.m., and evening games commence at 5 p.m., draw ing Unalakleet into the tournament.

Friday’s games begin at 8 a.m. and continue through the day. On Saturday, the action kicks off at 9 a.m., with the girls championship game at 3 p.m. and the boys championship at 4:30 p.m.
