Mariners looking for the Homer Harbor office at its old location by Ramp 2 won’t have to search hard to find the new Harbor Office building. It’s that white building with the curved wall that looks like the Starship Enterprise. 

Last Monday, the new 4,800-square-foot building opened for business next door on Freight Dock Road to the Seldovia Bay Ferry dock at JJ Float on the north side. The new office also is on a trail that wraps around the harbor from the Deep Water Dock to Fish Dock Road.

A grand opening for the harbor is at 5 p.m. June 11. Regular hours are 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Saturday. On July 4 and 5 the office is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. An information kiosk is open 24 hours in the front entryway. For more information, call 235-3160.
