Death notice: Eileen Yenney

Eileen (Lee) Yenney was born in Wishek, North Dakota on Dec. 11, 1937, and died on Feb. 26, 2026, in Homer. She received her associate degree in business at Bismarck State College. Lee drove with two friends from North Dakota to Anchorage Alaska in her blue convertible in the early 60s. She worked for Alaska Airlines before marrying Fred Yenney, then moved to Homer in 1977. She owned Yenney’s Rentals after her husband’s death in 2022. She is survived by her three children, David, Fred and Louann, her grandchildren Daylynn and Christian, and other family members. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 11 at Fritz Creek Baptist Church.
