HEA holds scheduled outage today on Spit, Halibut Cove and Peterson Bay

Homer Electric Association will have a scheduled outage for the Homer Spit, Peterson Bay, and Halibut Cove areas between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. today, Dec. 13. The outage could last up to eight hours on the Homer Spit.

The Halibut Cove/Peterson Bay area will have two brief outages at the beginning and end of the scheduled outage. The outage is necessary to safely replace switching equipment on the Spit.

HEA reminds people to take steps to protect all sensitive electronic equipment in homes and businesses.
