Sept. 23

An alarm company at 8 a.m. reported an activated panic alarm on Hillfair Court. An officer went to the area and confirmed it was a false alarm.

A caller at 9:33 s.m. reported a shoplifter had left a store on Homer Bypass Road with stolen items. Officers went to the scene.

An officer at 1:05 p.m. warned a driver for having expired registration at the Homer Harbor.

An officer at 3:23 p.m. assisted medics on West Pioneer Avenue.

A caller at 4:13 p.m. reported finding a bag that contained a substance resembling drugs on East Bunnell Avenue. An officer responded and the property was seized and disposed of.

A caller at 4:54 p.m. reported an intoxicated woman harassing staff and customers at a business on the Sterling Highway. Officers went to the scene and issued the woman a trespass notice to keep her from the property for one month.

A caller at 5:39 p.m. reported a collision involving multiple vehicles at Crittenden Drive and the Sterling Highway in which two vehicles had left the scene and one woman was reporting having whiplash. Officers and medics went to the scene. One vehicle was towed away.

An officer at 5:38 p.m. arrested a 32-year-old man for driving under the influence on East End Road. The man was taken to the Homer Jail and was also given a citation for driving with his license suspended.

A caller at 6:45 p.m. reported intoxicated minors vandalizing public restrooms on Beluga Place near Bishop’s Beach. An officer responded but didn’t find the minors.

A caller at 10:19 p.m. reported an ongoing noise issue on E Street. An officer went to the scene throughout the night.

Sept. 24

A caller at 10:09 a.m. asked to speak with an officer about a parking situation at the Seafarer’s Memorial on Homer Spit Road. The owner of the vehicle causing a problem was contacted and told to move their vehicle.

A caller from another agency at 12:10 p.m.requested assistance locating a person on Mountainview Drive. An officer went to the area and found the person in question did not live there anymore.

A caller at 1:45 p.m. made a Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately (REDDI) report on a vehicle at West Fairview Avenue and Karen Hornaday Road. An officer responded but the vehicle was already gone.

A man at 3:50 p.m. went to the police station to report fraud after the fact that happened on West Pioneer Avenue. An officer spoke with the man.

An officer at 5:40 p.m. warned a driver for speeding on Kachemak Drive.

Officers at 8:23 p.m. provided transportation for a woman on Spit Road.

An officer at 9:39 p.m. gave a driver a warning for having expired registration at Saltwater Driver and the Sterling Highway.

Sept. 25

An officer at 3:18 a.m. made a traffic stop at Glenview Street and the Sterling Highway. The officer arrested a 55-year-old man on an outstanding warrant and he was taken to the Homer Jail.

A man at 8:54 a.m. went to the police station for Kenai Adult Probations. The man was arrested by probations.

An officer at 6:23 p.m. gave a driver a warning for speeding on Kachemak Drive.

An officer at 10:14 p.m. gave a driver a warning for violating headlight requirements at East End Road and East Hill Road.

An officer at 10:29 p.m. gave a driver a warning for having expired registration at Watson Road and the Sterling Highway.

A caller at 11:11 p.m. reported a suspicious vehicle at a business on East End Road. An officer went to the location.

A caller at 11:33 p.m. reported that a person was refusing to leave a business on East Pioneer Avenue. Officers went to the scene.

Sept. 26

A caller at 1 a.m. requested a welfare check be made on a woman on Spit Road. Officers went to the area.

Another agency at 3:57 a.m. requested assistance on East End Road. An officer went to the scene.

A caller at 7:01 a.m. reported an assault on Bay Avenue. An officer responded.

A caller at 8:24 a.m. reported that he had to leave a broken down vehicle on the side of the road on the Sterling Highway near Maintenance Road. An officer went to the area to flag the vehicle and a towing company was contacted to remove the vehicle.

An officer at 9:19 a.m. assisted medics who were “looking for a victim” on Claudia Street. The officer was unable to locate the person and it turned out they were already at the hospital.

A caller at 9:37 a.m. reported a broken down vehicle at the intersection of East End Road and Lake Street. An officer assisted with moving the vehicle.

A caller at 10:06 a.m. reported people at a school with edible marijuana on East Fairview Avenue. An officer went to the scene.

A caller at 12:32 p.m. reported being watched by an unknown person of Hazel Avenue. An officer responded and found this report was unfounded.

A caller at 5:06 p.m. reported an illegal eviction from a hotel on East Pioneer Avenue. An officer went to the scene.

A caller at a local business at 4:53 p.m. reported that a woman was there who had previously been trespassed. An officer went to the area but didn’t find the woman.

An officer at 7:34 p.m. warned a driver for not having an operating license at Mile 171 Sterling Highway.

Sept. 27

An officer at 6:10 a.m. assisted the Homer Volunteer Fire Department on Ronda Street.

An alarm company at 6:21 a.m. reported a commercial burglary alarm on East Pioneer Avenue. An officer went to the scene.

A person went to the police station at 9:55 a.m. to report a hit and run in the Homer area after the fact. An officer took a report.

A caller at 11:03 a.m. reporting finding personal items discarded along the road on Kachemak Drive. An officer went to the scene but didn’t find anything suspicious.

A caller at 2:40 p.m. reported issues with a neighboring home on E Street. An officer advised the caller of their options and a report was forwarded to the Office of Child Services.

A caller at 4 p.m. reported a vehicle collision in a parking lot of a local business on Greatland Street that had caused damage. An officer went to the scene.

A caller at 4:37 p.m. reported a theft from a business on East Pioneer Avenue. An officer wasn’t able to locate a suspect.

An officer at 7 p.m. escorted the Homer High School homecoming parade on East Fairview Avenue.

Officers at 9:01 p.m. contacted a “highly intoxicated” woman at Klondike Avenue and poopdeck Street while on a foot patrol of the area. The woman was not responsive and she was taken into protective custody.

Sept. 28

Officers at 1:06 a.m. assisted another agency on Seaview Circle.

A caller at 8:54 a.m. reported a person trespassing on private property on East Bunnell Avenue. An officer went to the scene and arrested a 51-year-old woman for criminal trespassing and a 51-year-old man for criminal trespassing and violating conditions of release.

Sept. 29

A caller at 1:21 a.m. reported an alarm at a business on Bartlett Street. An officer responded to the area.

A caller at 5:52 a.m. requested assistance on Soundview Avenue. An officer went to the area and provided a man with transportation to South Peninsula Hospital.

A man at 5:25 p.m. went to the police station with a dog found at East End Road and Greer Road. An officer helped with placing the dog in the Homer Animal Shelter.

Officers at 9:04 p.m. assisted medics on East Pioneer Avenue.

An officer at 11:30 p.m. placed an animal in the Homer Animal Shelter.

Sept. 30

Officers at 12:24 a.m. assisted another agency at Mile 160 Sterling Highway.

A caller at 12:51 a.m. reported a guest causing a disturbance on Ocean Drive Loop. An officer went to the scene and the person in question had already let the area.
