Jan. 22

An officer at 5:31 a.m. contacted an unattended burn while on patrol at Ronda Street and Nelson avenue. The burn permit holder was contacted.

A caller at 10:13 a.m. reported a woman loading items into the back of a truck on Freight Dock Road. An officer went to the area. The woman was later contacted over the phone and issued a trespass notice.

An officer at 11:02 a.m. made a traffic stop at Heath Street and the Sterling Highway. The officer arrested a 44-year-old man for driving with his license suspended and improper use of registration. The man was taken to the Homer Jail and the vehicle was impounded.

A caller at 1:54 p.m. reported a vehicle in a parking lot on Herndon Drive with a man sleeping in it. An officer went to the scene.

A caller at 2:52 p.m. reported there were vehicles parked on the sidewalk at Soundview Avenue and Shelley avenue, forcing children to walk in the street. An officer went to the scene and the vehicles were to be removed.

A caller at 4:06 p.m. reported a vehicle collision at Hazel Avenue and Heath Street that had caused damage. An officer went to the scene.

A caller at 4:45 p.m. reported a business sign blocking the view of oncoming traffic at Crittenden Street and the Sterling Highway. An officer went to the location.

A caller at 9:37 p.m. reported a loud vehicle in a parking lot on East End Road. An officer went to the location but didn’t locate any vehicles.

An officer at 10 p.m. contacted an unattended burn again at Ronda Street and Nelson Avenue. An officer contacted the proper agency.

A vehicle found parked in the roadway at 10:32 p.m. on West Fairview Avenue was interfering with snow removal. Officers scheduled the vehicle to be impounded.

Jan. 23

An officer at 12:30 p.m. assisted another agency with a welfare check on Heath Street.

An officer at 10:24 p.m. made a traffic stop at Grubstake Avenue and Heath Street and warned the driver for having expired registration.

Jan. 24

An officer at 11:39 a.m. cleared debris from the road on Spit Road.

A caller at 4:18 p.m. reported a vehicle collision at Hazel Avenue and Heath Street that had caused damage. Officers went to the scene.

A caller at 6:40 p.m. reported a suspicious person walking on neighboring properties at Aspen Lane and Frisbee Court. An officer went to the scene but the person in question was already gone.

An officer at 10:15 p.m. made a traffic stop at Pioneer Avenue and Lake Street and confiscated a small amount of marijuana from the driver. The officer did not note any impairment.

Jan. 25

An officer at 12:06 a.m. arrested a 44-year-old man for driving under the influence at East Hill Road and East End Road. The vehicle was impounded.

An officer at 5:30 a.m. made a security check on Kachemak Drive. The officer found a person in a vehicle and advised them to move along.

An officer at 9:48 a.m. assisted another agency with a welfare check on the Sterling Highway.

An officer at 11:01 a.m. assisted a driver with a disabled vehicle at East Hill Road and Latham Avenue.

A security company reported a residential alarm at 12:20 p.m. on Island View Court. An officer went to the scene and found the home was secure.

A caller at 9:08 p.m. made a Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately (REDDI) report on a vehicle at Rogers Loop and the Sterling Highway. An officer responded but didn’t find the vehicle.

A caller at 11:11 p.m. reported loud music coming from a downstairs apartment on Linda Court. An officer went to the scene and gave one man a disorderly conduct warning. The music was turned down.

Jan. 26

A caller at 4:45 a.m. requested a welfare check be made on his neighbor on Jenny Way. An officer went to the area but wasn’t able to locate anyone at the home. A message was left with the landlord to check the apartment.

A caller at 8:27 a.m. reported three men had entered his running vehicle on West Pioneer Avenue and then took off. An officer responded and found the report was unfounded.

An officer at 4:09 p.m. assisted a driver with a disabled vehicle on Homer Bypass Road.

A caller at 4:46 p.m. requested that a welfare check be made on a family member on Cityview Avenue. An officer went to the scene and contacted the family member.

Jan. 27

A caller at 3:15 a.m. reported a neighbor causing a disturbance on East Pioneer Avenue. An officer went to the scene.

An officer at 5:26 a.m. provided transportation for a woman at Rogers Loop Road and the Sterling Highway.

A caller at 11:50 a.m. reported a dog attack on Ocean Drive Loop. An officer responded.

A caller at 1:43 p.m. reported a vehicle had broken down in a lane of traffic on Pioneer Avenue. Officers went to the scene and found the vehicle was out of gas and that assistance was on the way.

A caller at 2:10 p.m. reported a possible sighting of a missing person on Homer Bypass Road. An officer went to the scene.

A caller at 8:31 p.m. reported a vehicle in the ditch on Karen Hornaday Road with two men nearby. An officer went to the scene.

A caller at 8:32 p.m. reported a civil issue on Ben Walters Lane. An officer went to the location.

Jan. 28

A caller at 12:09 a.m. reported that their partner was intoxicated and requested an officer come speak to her on East End Road. Officers went to the scene.
