HEA to host community meetings in October

The gatherings will include updates on HEA projects and operations.

Homer Electric Association on Friday announced a series of community meetings in areas around the Kenai Peninsula throughout October.

The gatherings, per a release from the utility, will include updates on HEA projects and operations, as well as a presentation from CEO Brad Janorschke, a meal and prizes.

The first meeting will be at the Soldotna Senior Center on Wednesday, Oct. 1. Another will be held at the Nikiski Community Recreation Center on Thursday, Oct. 2. The utility will be at the Funny River Community Center on Oct. 20 and at the Anchor Point VFW on Oct. 23. Each of those meetings, on Oct. 1, 2, 20 and 23, will run from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

A final meeting will be held at the Sterling Senior Center on Oct. 30, running from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
