Beau Allen Merritt was born at 7 a.m. Dec. 31, 2014, at South Peninsula Hospital to Aurora and Russ Merritt of Anchor Point. He weighed 9 pounds, 14 ounces. His grandparents are Marc and Shanna Roderick of Anchor Point and Laura Sheldon of Fritz Creek.
