Rhea M. Cheney

Rhea M. Cheney, 89, of Bradenton, Florida, died Aug. 4, 2020 at Tidewell Hospice of natural causes.

No memorial service will be held. Covell Cremation and Funeral Center of Bradenton is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Homer Senior Center, 3935 Svedlund St., Homer, AK 99603.

Born in Oakley Park, Commerce Township, Michigan, Mrs. Cheney went to Bradenton from Homer in 2002. She was a homemaker and a fisherman’s wife.

Survivors include her two sons, James Turcott of Bradenton, Florida and Russell “Rusty” Cheney (Laura) of Homer, Alaska; two sisters, Shirley Wilson (George) of Walled Lake, Michigan and Marilyn Koshorek (Ron) of Marquette, Michigan; one brother, Jerry Beagle (Mary) of Walled Lake, Michigan; and two grandsons, Mitchell Turcott of Everett, Washington and Aaron Cheney of Lima, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and four brothers.
